Prayer Corner
The Easter season is arguably the most important of the entire year. In I Corinthians 15:3 4, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” We want to encourage our listeners to join us in praying for our community throughout East Central Florida. Pray the Lord would send out laborers into the harvest and would embolden his people to faithfully preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray the Lord to open the hearts of sinners to the truth of the gospel, that they might understand their need for saving grace and forgiveness of sins. Pray they would turn to Jesus Christ, submitting to him as Lord and Savior. Pray the Lord would open up many doors of opportunity for each of us to share our faith and reach the lost for Jesus Christ. Finally, pray that believers might grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ being disciples who make disciples.

CARRY ON by Bill Powell
Before I give an update on the question everyone asks which is, “how did it go” I am faced with the toughest challenge and that is how do I say thank you. Sharathon is a time when hundreds of God’s people come together to rally around this ministry to preserve it. We are humbled and grateful to each one of you who gave of your time, talent, and treasure. Our thanks is truly from our hearts. We will pray for you, please pray for us. Our community along with our country is spinning out of control, and Jesus is the only answer. The importance of this ministry only grows more needed. We know you all get that.
How did it go? I am convinced that all those led by the Holy Spirit gave what they were able. To that I am grateful. Was it what we hoped for, no. We finished at $87,000 well short of our goal of $160,000. Remember this, we live by faith. (Heb 11:6 NASB) And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. With that being said remember that the $160,000 plus the $50,000 we will seek to raise in the fall is our budget for the whole year. We have the whole year to make up the difference. Throughout the year listeners give, who may never have the chance to participate in the sharathon. The Lord has sustained us since 1994 and I do not have any reason to believe He will not continue as long as we are Faithful to His Word. And we will remain faithful.
God’s people are great to be around, and I must say we all enjoyed each other’s company. We have a job to do, and I must say I enjoy doing it with you all. It’s time to carry on and do the best we can with what we have. We need you to spread the word that everyone in our community needs to add us to their listening mix. We work hard to feed your soul. Encourage your friends to sample the feast of the great programming we offer. (2 Ti 2:2) The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
In Christ’s Service,
Bill
